Monika Emmanuelle Kazi lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland.

Monika Emmanuelle Kazi (she/her) grew up between France and the Republic of Congo. Her work centers on the traces the body leaves within domestic spaces. With her diasporic identity as a point of departure, her practice spans writing, installation, performance, and video to explore the intimacies of home, and the ways in which territory and heritage are constructed. Weaving together personal and collective experience, she reflects on the emotional resonance of everyday objects, as well as the gestures, materials, and spaces that bear witness to shifting histories.
