Southness is an attitude
Skulpturenpark Faulerbad
We cordially invite you to the activation of the Biennale-Pavilion by artist Irene Fernández Arcas. Her site-specific installation "Southness is an Attitude" is inspired by “Chiringuitos”, simple beach bars in Spain. It was conceived and realized especially for the Biennial in the Skulpturenpark at Faulerbad. “Chiringuitos”, traditionally found on the coast of Spain, are informal meeting places where people eat, relax and spend time together after swimming.
During the Biennale für Freiburg 3, the pavilion will be a central location for events in the mediation program.
7 pm
Santa Romería de la Diosa Aceituna (Holy Pilgrimage of the Goddess of the Olive)
The performance includes a poetry reading and a collective meditation and will take place directly in the pavilion.
As places in the pavilion are limited, please register for the performance by email at: info@biennalefuerfreiburg.de
7:30 pm
El piliki de Almuñécar
(Der Piliki von Almuñécar)
After the performance, we will drift onto the beach of Granada Almuñecar - a summery evening with music and an aperitif.
All guests are invited to a shared dinner with sardine skewers. The pool bar at the Faulerbad is also open.
