(De)Composing Spaces for Coexistence
Grave Caroline Walter
In Ilaria Biotti's workshop, participants are invited to reinterpret the city of Freiburg through landscape-based situated drawing. Through so-called spatial montage, the city is understood as a constellation of real and imaginary fragments and urban space is conceived as a dynamic and contested terrain.
The term “(De)Composing” is used here to convey the urgency of relating the landscape as an aesthetic object to its political, social and historical dimensions. In this workshop, utopias are not understood as crystallized ideals, but as fluid, evolving relationships between subjects, places and imaginations.
This event will be held in English.
