Ben Blume, Anna Manankina, Seungsoo Jeon, David Krenz, Nis Petersen and Johannes Thimm, Rosa Maas, and Verena Zenker are studying and work in Karlsruhe, Germany.

As part of the 'Digital Journeys' seminar at the HfG Karlsruhe, all participants engaged in a collective approach to discuss implications and challenges of tourism, as well as tourism strategies within the context of this biennial. To speculatively navigate between the hidden and the most obvious, the city of Freiburg became a starting point for their observation and research. Over the course of one semester, the participants formed a seminar group to consider new perspectives on places of longing, with Freiburg itself potentially being one such place.

The seminar Digital Journeys was organized by Prof. Anne Duk Hee Jordan and Lorena Juan at the HfG Karlsruhe in the winter semester 2024/2025.
