Cosima zu Knyphausen (she/her) is a Chilean artist who works with drawing, writing and painting. In her painting she uses different materials such as vinyl, oil, pastel, ink, paper scraps or eggshells. Based on literary or artistic references, her works move in a space between the intimate and the historical. The examination of art-historical narratives such as the link between creation and desire enables zu Knyphausen to reflect on her own settings and interests: a queer bar in Berlin, the artist's studio, the muse, lesbian fantasies.
