Ilaria Biotti lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

In her artistic work and research, Ilaria Biotti explores the role of imagination in the (de)composition of landscape through and within spatial montage. Her inquiries are often driven by microhistorical process-oriented and research-based methodologies. Since 2019, she has been a practice-based researcher within PhDArts, a joint doctoral program of Leiden University and the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague, the Netherlands.
